Six players.
Six being the magic number which means we get 3 prize spots. 5 players and we’d only have 1.
So 6 players is a good number. Anything more than 6 players. Last night we had 6. All at the table playing a very enjoyable game of poker.
6 of the regulars. Cam, David, Ev, Saurabh, Paul & Alan.
The game ebbed and flowed, as it usually does. In this game, anyone could have been the winner at different stages of the game.
Pete didn’t make this one because he was off somewhere fancy watching Derren Brown perform some tricks. As it turns out it looks like there were more impressive tricks at this table so hopefully he will be back next week for some fireworks and proper magic.
Apparently, after the show, Pete invited Derren to our game so he can learn some better tricks, like how to make a huge stack of chips disappear…
Saurabh, our new champion, had a good, solid game and timed it well, building up a huge chip lead toward the end of the game. Something like 25,000 chips to everyone else’s couple of thousand.
Unassailable.
Or so you’d think.
