Another great game of poker last night.
Argentina won 2-0 against Mexico so managed to redeem themselves after their wobble vs Saudi Arabia in the 2022 World Cup, Matt Hancock is still in the Jungle and probably just about does qualify as a celebrity right now because people keep on talking about him, including me (!!) what a complete tool (up to you to work out if I’m referring to Hancock or myself there). David lost his golf game on the final hole, Claudia has been learning Python, Ev is enjoying playing poker on his massive iPad, Pete arrived fashionably late to the game this time not cooking but due to technical problems – he then had a good tilt at winning the game for a second week in a row but in the end bowed out because he forgot to utter his famous expression “I’m definitely going out now” which always keeps him in.
7 players so not a bad turn-out, despite one of them being Saurabh who wasn’t actually at the table (so stayed in the game a lot longer than usual, coming a respectable 5th).
Showdown ended up being between Alan & Cam, Alan edged it having a decent head start though you never know vs the wiley Cam.
A good laugh as always.
